Amlin hires Robert Robinson as General Counsel

Amlin plc has appointed Robert Robinson as General Counsel. Robinson joins from Liberty Syndicate Management, where he was Syndicate Counsel, with responsibility for a diverse book of property and casualty direct and reinsurance business written in Lloyd’s, and through offices in Paris and Cologne.
Prior to joining Liberty in 2005, Robinson spent eight years as an equity partner in US law firm Lord Bissell & Brook LLP, serving as Resident Partner in charge of the London office from 2000. During this period, he was lead trial counsel in over 25 non-marine reinsurance arbitrations for the London market. Called to the Bar in Illinois in 1989, Robinson spent eight years as Associate attorney with Lord Bissell & Brook in Chicago, practicing in a diverse range of areas including aviation and professional liability.
